'Dogs helping people'
Lisa McKay
Coordinator Children's Programs
As the saying goes..."you can take the girl out of PAWS, but you can't take the PAWS out of the girl". After a hiatus of just over a year it is good to be back in the PAWS fold.
You see a lot of change over seven years. Coming along at what could be called a pivotal time in the history of PAWS I was lucky to be part of something special, growing the organisation along with Sharon and also growing professionally.
Now, many years later on from those early days operating out of a bedroom in Sharon's home I am working with a great team at our Orangeville office where it all happens behind the scenes to make the magic happen.
It is great to be back on board doing what I love to do...helping children find a love for learning and reading. With a background in libraries and now as a School Learning Support Officer I can see there is still much work to be done.
Here's to the next chapter of my PAWS journey.
